Quick Throttle Valve


After large and medium-sized power plants adopted variable speed pumps (variable frequency pumps) in their feedwater systems, feedwater regulating valves were generally eliminated, and the feedwater flow is automatically adjusted by the feedwater pump. When the unit operates at low load (30%-50% load), the reduced system resistance leads to a corresponding decrease in pump head. This results in insufficient pressure drop for superheater spray desuperheating, causing inadequate desuperheating water and localized superheater overheating. In such operating conditions, this valve quickly establishes a pressure difference (pressure holding) to ensure the required head for spray desuperheating; when the unit operates at high load, the valve opens rapidly, allowing flow without resistance, which can save significant plant power consumption and optimize equipment operating conditions.

When the above operating conditions occur, a pressure difference (pressure buildup) is quickly established through this valve to ensure the required head for attemperator spray water; when the unit operates at a high load, the valve opens quickly, achieving unimpeded flow, saving a large amount of plant power, and optimizing equipment operating conditions.
